Description:

Securitron MUNL-12 Mortise Unlatch

The Securitron MUNL-12 Mortise Unlatch is an advanced electromechanical strike designed for use with mortise locksets without deadbolts, specifically accommodating latchbolts with a throw of up to 3/4". This unit is ideal for applications where a traditional electric strike would typically be used, offering a compact and versatile solution that requires no cutting or altering of the door jamb.

Key Features:

  • No Cutting Required: The MUNL-12 is designed for easy installation in a standard 4-7/8" ANSI strike cutout without the need for cutting or modifying the door frame.
  • Preload Capable: This strike can release even under pressure, making it highly reliable in various situations where the door might be pressed against the frame.
  • Latch Status Monitoring: It comes standard with a latch status sensor, providing real-time feedback on whether the door is securely latched or not.
  • Motorized Operation: Unlike traditional solenoid-based strikes, the MUNL-12 uses a motorized mechanism, which ensures smooth and quiet operation while maintaining the dead-latch function at all times.
  • Continuous Duty: The strike is designed for continuous operation, ensuring it can handle high-traffic environments without overheating or failing.

This mortise unlatch is fully concealed when installed, contributing to a sleek appearance while maintaining robust security. It operates on 12VDC and is UL 10B and UL 10C listed, making it compliant with fire door regulations and suitable for use in high-security and safety-critical environments.
