Adams Rite's 2311-626 Heavy Duty Deadbolt is a lock that expands into the strike and is designed for hollow metal or wood doors. It throws its brass bolt into its strike, then expands two stainless steel dogs to add security to the operation. A single turn of the corresponding key expands or retracts the bolt, while a 360° turn extends and projects, or retracts and withdraws the bolt. The key can only be removed if the bolt is positively locked or totally retracted.
