The Adams Rite 4550R-01-119 Lever Trim for MS Deadlock is designed to easily unlock an MS deadlock with about 3 pounds of downward force on a 3" lever. The lever is spring loaded horizontally, and relocks with an upward motion. Rotate the lever downward 90° to unlock, and upward 90° to relock. This clutching action prevents damage to internal components of the lock. Key operation from the outside is not affected by this lever trim, and it can be installed in place of an existing key cylinder or cylinder type thumbturn inside the door.
This trim also comes with an indication signal that displays the lock status driven by the lock bolt itself. The words "LOCKED" (in red) or "OPEN" (green) will appear depending on if the bolt is thrown or retracted, respectively. It is not compatible with 7/8" (22.2mm) backset locks.
